Some christmasy activities

We got together with the Grandparents to go to December nights at Balboa Park.  It was crazy!  Not at all the fun I remember from years back.  But, they do have a cute Christmas tree...

We also went to my parent's ward Christmas party.  I can never seem to go to my own wards, it always seems to fall on the same day as my work party.

Goofy face.

Eating the Dinosaur.

And the 3 seconds on Santa's lap where they screamed.  Ay-yi-yi.

New family pictures

My friend from work, Beverly, is a photographer.  She is still growing her business, so she currently does jobs on the side; wedding, engagements photos, family pics, etc.  Due to us being friends, I liek to get her to take my pics.  Also, she does a great job.  So if anyone is in the market, check her out!
We picked of few of these for Christmas cards, and a few we got printed for framing.  Here is a sampling!  Mainly, of my cute babies...I have a hard time editing.

zeke asleep in highchair .m4v

Obligatory Thanksgiving post and 18 month awesomeness.

Oh Thanksgiving.  A time to be thankful for one's blessings...in my case that means my super cute twins and 12 layer Jello.  It's the one time of year we make it.  And it is as delicious as it sounds.  12 layers of sugary Jello goodness.  You really feel like you are eating an actual rainbow.  A rainbow of awesome.  Anyways, back to the subject at hand.  This year, like many years in the past, we celebrated Thanksgiving at the good ol' Cima household.  And also as usual, I did not take many pictures.  I would like to say that the twins enjoyed Thanksgiving.  But that would be a dirty, dirty lie.  They enjoyed playing with someone else's toys and the aforementioned Jello, but that's about it.  Mostly, they were both in cranky pants moods.  But alas.  We still enjoyed us some food.

On our way!

Playing with Daddy.

Stealing toys

On to the next subject, I can't believe they are 18 months old!  Seriously.  My life is now harder and easier at the same time.  Easier at church, since I can now leave them in nursery (which they LOVED), harder because they get into EVERYTHING!  It pretty much drives me crazy.  I go to the Dr. in the next week or so to have them checked, so I'll post stats then, but here is a list of the things they do and say:

Zeke:
Loves to run up to you and hug and kiss you. Also loves to do this to Hazel.  She hates it.
Says I love you.
Says boy in reference to Good boy as in I am a good boy.
Climbs onto everything and spends copious amounts of time in Time out for climbing on everything.
Rubs his sheets when trying to fall asleep.
Kisses everything.
Throws a LOT of tantrums for not getting his way.
Often naughty, but his sweetness and cuddliness make up for it.

Hazel:
Says lots of words like car, hat, mommy, daddy, grandma, grandpa, kitty, shoe, book, etc...its a long list.
Loves to play with flashcards and say all the words.
Likes to run away from you in stores and play the chase Hazel game.  Not cute.
Loves "I love to eat" song and sings it often.
Loves teddy bears and things to cuddle like the cats, even when they don't want to.
Is a MAJOR daddy's girl.
Very shy around newcomers, but loves attention.

Both:
Counts to 5 or 10 depending on the mood (kinda).
Sings the ABC's (also, kinda).
Sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
Folds arms for prayers.
Loves Yo Gabba Gabba (says YO when it is on) and Elmo.
Loves to color and cries when crayon time is over.
Have knocked over the Christmas tree.  Good times.

 And just for cuteness sake:

Good times on Halloween...

First was Trunk or Treat:
We started at my ward, then moved to my parents.

Hazel as Dorothy and me as the Wicked Witch dancing to the music.

The Cowardly Lion lives up to his name...

The Great and Powerful Oz with Dorothy and the Lion.

All of us together!

The whole family at Trunk or treat

Next celebration, my 32nd Birthday!  Whoops, I mean 23rd.  There is no way I'm 32 yet...

Helping Mommy blow out the candles.

That may have been a large bite...

Surprisingly, Zeke is not a huge fan of cake. Ice Cream, on the other hand...

And then Halloween!  We went to my parents house and trick-or-treated around their neighborhood.  They got a surprising amount of candy, even though we only went to five houses.  It must have been the cuteness factor.

He's ready for some candy!

One of the few pics I got with her in the wig I made her.  She hated it.  So I made a bow as well.

Let's go!  Let's go!

Walking with mommy and grandpa.

Trick or Treat!

Caught getting into the candy!

And enjoying their Halloween treat from Grandma.
They enjoyed Halloween a lot.  they tolerated the costumes, and ate WAY too much sugar.  They didn't go to bed until 10:30 due to the sugar high they received after eating cookies and candy.  I'm a good mom.  I swear.

Who wants to carve some punkins?

Here's a funny thing about my crazy babies:
Zeke LOVED the pumpkin patch.  Loved it.  He loved the pumpkins, the dirt, the hay, etc.  He, however, hates to be sticky/gooey (those who have seen the bubble video know this...).  HATES it.  Because of this, carving the pumpkins he loved so much was problematic for him.  Hazel, on the other hand, LOVES to be messy.  Any kinds of messy.  She is not picky.  She may have been terrified of the pumpkins at the patch, but she grew to love them.  And therefore, loved carving them.  It was ridiculous.  She spent the entire time scooping pumpkin guts from one pumpkin to another or into a bowl.  She was covered in less than 10 seconds in pumpkin sticky.  And she loved every minute of it.

Pumpkin guts everywhere!

Notice the clean spoon.

And the tears in his eyes.

This is pretty much  how the night was spent.  I clearly got a lot done.

Our finished product!

Yo Gabba Gabba!

So, my friend Michelle had her daughter Kalia's 2nd Birthday party today.  It was a Yo Gabba Gabba theme.  I decided to dress up the babies in costume, and by costume, I mean things I had around the house..  Jake decided to follow suit.  He is awesome.

Hazel as Foofa and Zeke as Brobee.

The little green one.
DJ Lance.  Awesome.  No other adult dressed up.

Side note: I did wear a long red dress to sort of be Moono, but I was NOT about to draw a giant eye on my face.

Happy Birthday Kalia!!!

Good times at Nate's Butt Farm Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend, my parents and the fam decided it was time to go to the pumpkin patch for some pumpkins.  I think it's mandatory to go to the pumpkin patch and get the obligatory photos of children frolicking amongst the pumpkins.  Also, I love me some Bates Nut Farm.  They have it all decked out with different vendors, corn maze, hay ride, pony ride, the works.  Plus all the animals that you can feed.  And you know how this girl loves her some animals.  We decided to go in the morning to beat the rush which may or may not have been a good idea.  We did beat the rush, but babies got ridiculously cranky and in need of a nap.  Good thing they sleep in the jogger.  Cause otherwise, it would have been a nightmare.  Here are the aforementioned photos.  My kids are awesome.

Zeke was all about the pumpkins.  He ran right into the piles of them and began to try to pick them up and push them around.

Here, he seems to be riding the pumpkins like a horse, or maybe like my cat Rambo.

Hazel, on the other hand, was terrified of them.  She did not know what to make of them.  She cried when we placed her in the middle of a group of pumpkins.  She, however, is not too scared to run up to a strange dog 3 times her size.  Awesome.

Terrified.

Maybe I'll just touch it.  See if it bites.

Once we got her a pumpkin more suitable to her size, she warmed up.

Then started to kiss them.

We spent quite a bit of time in the over sized pumpkin patch.  My mom wanted to find THE perfect one.  It ended up weighing 90 lbs.  It was huge.

We want this one Mommy!

Kisses from Grandpa

and a very sleepy Zeke with Grandma.
Shortly after this was taken, they both passed out.  Nighty-night.
